Intro to SQL

Databases are everywhere — this friendly guide shows you how they work and how to ask them questions with SQL.

Intro to SQL by Cosmo starts from zero and builds step by step: what a database is, how tables, rows, and columns fit together, and how to write your first SELECT queries. You will filter results with WHERE, sort them clearly, group and summarize data, and understand JOINs with pictures that make the connections click.

Then the book moves into changing data safely — adding, updating, and removing records without the classic beginner accidents — and designing a small database of your own with sensible tables, keys, and data types. It closes with a full worked project: building and querying a tiny store database from start to finish.

Every query in the book was run against a real database and verified.
